حدثنا يحيى بن أيوب، وقتيبة، وابن، حجر - واللفظ لابن أيوب - قالوا حدثنا إسماعيل، - وهو ابن جعفر - أخبرني عبد الله بن دينار، أنه سمع عبد الله بن عمر، يقول كنا نبايع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم على السمع والطاعة يقول لنا ‏"‏ فيما استطعت ‏"‏ ‏.‏
